The documentary explores the crisis of loneliness among young people in the digital age.
Three protagonists, aged 20 to 33, offer intimate glimpses into their lives, in which loneliness is a constant companion. Despite social media and constant connectivity, they long for genuine connection. We accompany the protagonists on their journey out of loneliness while also taking a look at their environment, in which loneliness is partly rooted. Unseen, unheard, unneeded — we make the loneliness palpable for the viewer. This creates a multifaceted picture of how personal, social, and digital factors interact and shape the feeling of loneliness.
